‘Viva El Paso!’ — The summertime dinner pageant returns for its 31st season to its original venue at McKelligon Canyon Amphitheatre Friday and Saturday, June 27-28, offering an array of multicolored costumes, electrifying musical production numbers, and legendary characters. The outdoor musical extravaganza highlights the four major cultures of the region, through drama, song and dance, that have called El Paso home: the Native American, Spanish Conquistadors, the Mexican and Western American. El Paso Youth Symphony Orchestra — The orchestra will give a concert called "Flashback to the Summer of Love" at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 28 at the Ysleta school district Cultural Arts Theatre, 9600 Sims. The concert will include Beatles music as well movie music. $8
Music under the Stars – June 29 at the Chamizal National Memorial Amphitheatre. The free outdoor concerts are offered 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. selected Sundays by the City of El Paso Museums & Cultural Affairs Department. Sangre Gitano (rumba-flamenco band) will perform. Information: 541-4481.

Scenic Sundays walks — El Paso Parks and Recreation Department invites citizens and their pets in El Paso and the surrounding communities and Juarez to ride, skate, walk or run on Scenic Drive from 6 a.m. to noon Sundays through Aug. 31. “Tut’s Treasures: Re-Creating the Tomb’ — LYNX Exhibits, 300 W. San Antonio (downtown just south of Convention Center) presents the traveling exhibition through Sept. 7, featuring 126 reproductions of Egyptian treasures as well as genuine artifacts. Exhibit hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.
